Modular Retail Display System for Sephora Store Design
In 2020, the Sephora Retail System was developed using a tailored version of the B+N wall panel system, transforming standard store layouts into a modular retail display system built around a repeating kit of parts. This design combines extruded aluminum wall uprights, formed steel back panels, and indexed pins to hold versatile product display modules. Key graphics are incorporated to define visual zones and simplify shopper navigation throughout the space.

Connector-Free Electrification and Integrated Lighting
The backbone of this system features aluminum uprights with indexing pins and a low-voltage electrical conductor channel allowing panels to clip on, while shelves use a J-slot mechanism to bear weight securely. Shelves and cabinets are equipped with spring clips that conduct power to integrated LED light wands and panels. This connector-free electrification delivers lighting exactly where needed—highlighting product displays without visible wiring or manual connections.

Flexibility in Surface Treatment and Display Attachments
Decorative panels attach magnetically to steel back panels, offering easy, tool-free customization. Larger display pieces mount directly onto the uprights using the indexing pins and J-slot system. At select pop-up locations spanning 800 square feet, this flexible system enables vendor inserts like trays, risers, bins, and surface panels to leverage the provided 24-volt power from the uprights.

Efficient Wall Build Process for Retail Fixtures
The wall build process begins with uprights being mounted securely to structural walls. After that, every other attachment—shelves, display trays, lighting elements—can be installed without tools or tape measures. This streamlined installation supports fast deployment across multiple store locations while maintaining consistency in design, functionality, and brand experience.
